They rise,
appearing unexpectedly,
edgeless columns of city glass.
Cascades of still water
flowing upward
reflecting sunlight as I pass
mesmerised by their beauty,
by the industry that built them.
Sea green on sky blue.
Immovable fountains of finance,
moved by the tides of commerce
in a city of changing hues.
Evergreen constructions
against an inconstant sky,
defying gravity.
